DESIGN & COLOUR STORY
"The Anishinaabe word for wisdom is nibwaakaawin, which means "to see more fully". In breaking down the word to understand it more completely, we learn waa is related to light and sight, kaa means "to a place of abundance", and win refers to the way a thing is done (changing the word from a noun to a verb). Thus nibwaakaawin can refer to something we see abundantly or in its broader light. This is one way of thinking about wisdom in the Anishinaabe language." - Borrowed from the book Law's Indigenous Ethics (by Dr. John Borrows).
How beautiful? What would this deeper meaning of wisdom shift in your awareness of it's presence in your life?
