Can I wear your beadwork if I am not Indigenous?

YES! Our work is for everyone. By purchasing and wearing work made by Indigenous artists you are supporting their livelihood and the legacy of their cultures. A great way to further support is to know the story of the artist you are wearing, tell people about them if they comment on your jewelry.

There are certain elements of regalia in many Indigenous cultures that are not appropriate for non-indigenous folks to wear. However, we will never sell this type of item in the Commanda Collective store.

How do I care for my Commanda Collective jewelry?

Your item is made by hand and made from delicate materials. Always ensure to avoid water, heat, hair products, and makeup. Your earrings or necklace should be the last item adorned as part of your morning routine.

When not wearing your item, it is best to store in a safe dry place. For long fringe earrings the string will continue to settle so it is best to lay them flat. For the short fringe, such as the diamond design hanging them works best for storage.

Where can I purchase Commanda Collective jewelry?

Currently only through our website. We will sell occasionally at pop-up shows around the Kingston area. Follow us on instagram and sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on new collections and updates.

Do you take custom orders?

Currently we are closed to all custom orders, follow us on instagram and sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop on custom openings.

The item I wanted is sold out, will you restock?

Once a piece is sold out it will not be restocked in that colour palette again.

What are your findings made of?

The exact findings used are always listed in the material description on the product page. All of our findings are hypoallergenic sterling silver or 14K gold plated.

Can I track my order?

Due to the possibility of lost mail, we only offer tracked shipping. You tracking number will be sent to you once the item is shipped. Shopify also offers a great app called ShopPay that tracks your order directly!

Where do you ship to?

Commanda Collective ships within Canada and the USA. Orders sent to USA may be subject to US duties and taxes.

What are your shipping rates?

Currently, we are offering a flat rate of $10 to any Canadian postal code. For American postal codes standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

What if my package is lost?

We only offer tracked shipping in order to minimize the possibility of lost packages. However, Commanda Collective is not responsible for any packages that are lost by the mail courier or shipping service. If you feel your package has been lost, please contact Canada Post directly. If your package is marked lost, delayed, delivered, or unscanned, a refund can not be issued.
