DESIGN & COLOUR STORY
We have been in awe of the moon ever since we were little girls. Even now as adults, we still gasp when we look up to catch a glimpse of her beauty. Years ago when we learned that the moon is affectionately known as Grandmother Moon in Ojibwe culture, it made our hearts swoon. Grandmothers watch over us and provide us wisdom, just like the moon.
With this pair we wanted to speak about new moon energy. September often has an air of renewal, opportunity, and beginnings - the energy of a new moon.
Do you have a lunar practice? A lunar practice is to create harmony with your life and the phases of the moon - to begin to listen to her messages. The new moon is the beginning of the lunar cycle. This energy allows us to plant the seeds of intention for our lives. Each new moon is a new opportunity to be the architect of your own life; to visualize and intend that which you wish to create. You can plant seeds for the next lunar cycle, season, year or beyond! You can come back to one big intention with each new moon; nurturing the vision, or you can build upon each month's intention with incremental steps - whatever feels right for you.
This pair was created with new moon energy; energy of pure potentiality. We hope it inspires you to dream without limit when writing your new moon intentions. The next new moon is on September 6th!
Kindly note: Nookomis is not a direct translation of moon; it means grandmother.
